Black ash bowl
Check on availability in the description section.
This rough-edged bowl was started at a wood-turning course given by Lou Pignolet under the auspices of the North House Folk School in Grand Marias, Minnesota. Lou is a master turner as you can view for yourself by bringing up his web page (Google his name to find the page). This particular bowl was cut from a black ash burl. The rough-edged bark is prominent and robust, and the grain is beautifully displayed throughout the smooth surface. This bowl was given as gift to my daughter-in-law, however I look forward to obtaining more burls for bowl-making, but they're hard to come by. I'll post pictures when they become available. Click here to learn more about how the bowl was finished and how to keep it lustrous.
